Fort Worth Cowtown Marathon Masters 3 Man Relay

Team Name – 3 Okies, Male Masters Division

Tim (me), Tim Lewis, Jackie Carroll

Start 7:30 AM

We arrived the night before the race and stayed at Clarion Inn in downtown Fort Worth.
It was cold and damp evening. My right hamstring has been bothering me to the extent that I am not sure how will do today.
My wake up call was at 6:00 AM.
Cool, cloudy, dreary outside, but perfect for a Marathon.

It is strange, the gun goes off and a mile down the road the hamstring tightness begins to back off allowing be to run a quicker pace.

It rained about 3 hours and 40 minutes into the event.
Jackie had the flu, Tim Lewis had a good day but he was not feeling good. I was nursing my Hamstring. The awards were a mess.

First leg, Tim (me) : 9.8 miles,  minute/mile pace

Second leg, Tim Lewis time: 8.6 miles

Third leg, Jackie Carroll time: 7.8 miles

Team Time: 3:26:56.81

2^nd Place, 20th overall.
